The idea is to create a dining space of decadence and style, sensuous and plush. The gold color lining on the circular columns, the elliptical coves in the ceiling painted in gold texture paint, the vintage lights, the leatherite sofa all resonates the taste for opulence and luxury of Art deco period in India.
The surfaces are adorned by indigenous motifs and art works from India. The partitions are designed in laser cut MDF or brass providing just enough privacy much desired by the Arabic families and yet keeps the linear space visually light and transparent. The interior colors are kept in the shades of brown and blue – sea green on the walls and inner side of partitions and dark textured brown with a lining in gold. The proposed design takes us on a walk down the memory lane of 60’s and and 70s of India.
